two simple q's about 370

1. Directly below the door that covers the audio input selectors and playback controls is (what looks like) a grey, rectangular button. Does it do something, or is it just a bumper for the door to hit?

2. I downloaded all the files from Panasonic, and I have a folder I can't identify. The structure looks a lot like the firmware folders, but the top folder is called "vsi5025A" and the file buried in all the folders is "XT17_000.ABR". What is this one?
