two pop beep?

This is from a guide i have for a show im editing. What is a 2 pop beep?
And when they say export at 59;30;00, where do i set that? on the tape deck?

The "2 pop beep" is just a beep that happens when the universal countdown leader (i.e., "10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2") hits "two". It's what the forum "2-pop.com" was named after.

They're saying to start the deck at 59:30:00, so that the bars, tone, leader, and beep all happen and then your spot hits at timecode 00:00:00:00

cool, thanks barry. Im guessing thats just 2 frames of tone at the seleted timecode.

The beep lasts for one frame under the single frame of "2" when displayed.

Oh, i get it. the 2 refers to the frame the number 2 would show and its just one beep not 2.
