These blocks are for use to expand (or service/repair) Cinematics 15mm camera/DSLR rail systems. Spacing between rails is 60mm, center-to-center.
The curved 40mm recessed design of these blocks are unique to Cinematics' rail system, and are compatible with the Cinematics baseplate system (not included) and matte box height adjuster (not included), and can be used as spares/replacements for these other kits if one so needs. One can also use these plates to hold existing rail systems together as a bridge, or modify them to suit. The possibilities are many.
The inside edge of these blocks have a divot from a drill bit on the surface, offset to the riser mounting hole - see photos. I have no idea at all why they are like this; they've been like this since I bought them new with my Cinematics baseplate system. It doesn't hamper their function. Might be to help the rails bite into the riser.
