I hope it's okay to post a link to my short film, "Two and a Half Minutes" here.

Alex is dissapointed when Bruce (Colin McCredie), the relatively new boy at the company, who he helped rise through the ranks, is put up for a lucrative promotion. However Alex discovers at the morning meeting that he is up for the same promotion.

After a brief heart to heart with Bruce, Alex leaves to meet his wife, when he meets the mysterious Nicholas (Chris Summers), who offers him a chance to secure his promotion. But how far will Alex go to get the promotion?

And you can watch it here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ye42Nu_jHo

Thanks :)

I think it's squeezed, not sure if that was on purpose, or an HDV thing. I liked the look, and the preformances were pretty good.

The story was a bit bleak. The lead just seemed to take the guy in the car at his word, and you have no idea why any of this happens the way that it does. It might have been more rewarding for the audience to know why this guy was picked, and why his victim needed to die.

Very good execution in general tho, the performances were very good.

Cheers!

I agree. It was far too little resistance for the main character. They SAY they have his wife and kids, but he seems to believe everything they say quite easily, and with only a little bit of hesitation he does their bidding.

not bad. I think the editing could use some tightening and the opening is kind of weird.
The main bosses dialog sounds phony. I would think he would refer to the exact title of the position rather than just say "Promotion". I'd also come in on that line, the tax season line seems out of place.

I agree with the previous comments that the main character should have resisted more / responded more in the car.

It's a good set up though. I like the conflict and motivation you gave the character.
