Twixtor Pro plug-in for Sony Vegas - working with GH13 footage

Twixtor Pro now can be used as a Plugin in Sony Vegas 10 along with many other OFX based plugins (like those from The Foundry - Nuke). No more going to After Effects.

Here is a sample (a difficult one because of the high contrast background) without tweaking.

You also need to export this while processing with Twixtor as Sony YUV uncompressed codec and then reconvert to whatever your final encode is, mp4 etc. Other codecs may work, still experimenting. Also when processing it's important change the preview quality of the Vegas Video preview to Good (Auto).

This is awesome news for Sony Vegas users, no need to go to After effects or other hosts, you can stay in Vegas all the time.

That is cool that it works for Vegas now. However, that is a very poor example of what can be done with Twixtor. I am just curious why you didn't upload it in 1080p or at the very least in 720p.

There is also an entirely free option for VirtualDub that works almost as well.

I think you missed my point, i'm simply pointing out the little known fact that Twixtor is now available WITHIN Vegas, the sample i posted is just proof of that. As i said above, this was without any tweaking, i just used the default settings to prove it works and upped in 360p.

I sorry that's it's of no value to you, VirtualDub i gave up on yonks ago, too slow and little development happening.

This is my timeline workflow in Sony Vegas and it seems to work quite good:

1. Split and trim the clip you want to slow down
2. Right click on the clip and select "Create Subclip"
3. Make sure that Switches->Loop is enabled for the sub clip.
4. Drag out the clip so that you got 5 loops after each other
5. Drag the Twixtor FX to the clip and set the Speed % = 20
6. Render, I have just tested Sony AVC (mp4) and it works fine.
7. Enjoy your slow motion clip.

This example is for 20%, if you want 10% you need to create 10 loops of the clip, 5% = 20 loops and so on...

Cheers Rambo

Pretty cool I'll have to toy with this. I've slowly been moving more and more to edius but am finishing some music videos in vegas 10 that need some nice slowmo fx
