TV Logic VFM-056 5.6" HD LCD Monitor Group Buy

Thinking of picking one of these up. Any new competitive monitor I should check out or is TV Logic still the way to go? BTW, anyone shopped from Texas Media?

Texas Media is great. Order with confidence.

The only monitor I like better than my TVLogic 5.6 is the new TVLogic 7". Much more expensive, but beautiful.

There's the SmallHD DP6... and yeah, TMS is great to deal with.

Ouch, at that price it's almost as much as the announced SmallHD monitors, which look very impressive (too rich for my blood though).

Just ordered one through Texas Media for the group buy price which is still valid at Filmtools as well.

For me critical focus via the AF100 evf has never been an issue. I don't use the LCD to focus but rather for composition and waveform. It hasn't been the easiest way of operating but you tend to make things work for you. I'm sure this TVlogic will make getting focus and exposure even simpler. Looking forward to that. But, for me what really prompted the buy was out of need. My production company just purchased a large crane/jib so this became the necessity that it really wasn't before.

Thanks for the great thread and valuable info!

Maybe Im harsh,Im fastidious. But everyone know right color is important for every cinematographer

I just want to know a calibrate data/information for a monitor calibration. And,maybe its only my monitor problem,

so these day i mail to Tvlogic, here's the reply:

Dear sir,

If you want to calibrate the VFM-056WP, you can do it with CLSoft-i1disPro.

But, VFM-056W’s LCD panel’s color gamut is 44% compare to NTSC. Overall, looks yellowish.. It is the characteristic of LCD panel.

I know I must be missing something here... but when I plug in an hdmi cable I get "no video"....

There is video coming out of the cable. Anyone???

I noticed my TV Logic doesn't show full image. I need some help to double check my setting.
I hooked up TV Logic with a HDMI cable to af100. Setting on AF100, SDI/HDMI out is 1080/720 (squeeze)
TV Logic setting is User Aspect 1280x800. The image on the monitor is a tiny bit smaller on width and height.

Thanks
