Who would be a great corporate video tutor for hire? (Houston/Chicago):dankk2:
(Project)
I just began (through acquisition) working for a very large company. There is a marketing staff but to date, most or near all work is done by managing firms rather than using in house resources. My experience to date has been the opposite and I am working on a marketing plan to bring a healthy blend to bear for a particular need.
In this marketing plan, I am partially focusing on video creation of testimonials to include:
While I can envision a process to accomplish all of this, it is beyond my experience
and therefore, I am looking for someone to tutor me in this process including
process planning, story telling improvements and film tests to ensure understanding
and proper procedures for each segment.
(My Present Experience)
I began shooting church conferences (teaching on stage) with a DVX100... never mastered the camera. We then purchased 2 HMC40's for the same format and a few attempts at promos. Coming back to the industrial field, I did a couple of tests and filmed my first promo, HERE, which is green screen and plant footage. It was a one man job. I made mistakes and learned a lot. I believe I can already do much better!
Most projects are on hold while in transition and on the personal front, I grabbed a GH2. I continue to shoot, shoot, shoot to learn it and understand its strengths and weaknesses.
(Tutelage Proposal)
I intend to include in my proposal a budget for tutelage. Finding someone in Chicago or Houston would be amazing but in any case, I would either come to you or bring you to me. I would layout my existing plan for critique and improvements and make arrangements for some hands on training to make sure I am up to speed. I intend to use the GH2 platform. I am experienced in Sony Vegas but for this project will either edit in SVP9 or FCPX/PP on Mac. (Just changed)
So are you right person or who would you recommend I speak with? Do you have broadcast or corporate experience? I know many of you do.
I am open to connecting here or you can email me at roberts "at" twsco "dot" com.
Thanks
Robert
