Turtle/Dinosaur

Holy sh@t!! that was crazy looking. That thing had the longest neck I've ever seen, and it definitely didn't fit the stereotype of how a normal turtle move's.

Geez.. that little fukker took off.

I'm pretty sure that is a Softshelled snapping turtle. I've seen them before. If you put a pencil by his mouth, he can snap it in half. Can do some pretty bad damamge to a finger also. They are very strong and have that long neck to catch fish under water. Very quick to bite.

Where did you film this? What state?

Yeah, it was one of the craziest things I have seen. I thought about doing my Crocodile Hunter impersonation in the background,but decided against it. I filmed this at Lake Livingston in Texas. On the other side of the lake were hundreds of pelicans. I will try to make a montage of some of the clips that I got on that trip.

Nice footage, It would of been nice to get some dof on that leatherback,very dangerous if you try to pick up.

Although at the beginning I was expecting to see a tiny Raquel Welch in a fur bikini clutching a spear attack the "dinosaur."

Ahhh. Childhood memories.
