Turncoat

Hey guys!
Been a while since I've posted here. Just wanted to share some of the details of a current project. Me and fellow DVXuser Jared Caldwell are shooting a promotional trailer for a film. I am hoping to pitch it to a few different entities in Atlanta and elsewhere, a feature film project called "turncoat." We are shooting this on the Canon Rebel T1i and remapping to 24p using Shake. Here are some stills:

as i said on scarletuser, beautiful stuff, can't wait to see it, and help on it, when you go into production

Kyle - looks great - well done -- have you got a web site for the film? Are the DVD's for sale yet? I'd really like to buy one.

Congratulations

Scot

Nice Stills...I'll check the trailer later (can't get youtube at work). Wasn't even aware of this and I'm in ATL.

wow amazing.

Whats your budget?

Why are you shooting on a DSLR if you have so many people involved? (not saying its a bad thing i shoot with a D90, just wondering why the choice)

What lenses are you using so far?

What are you using to record audio?

How long is this going to be?

Any trailer yet?

Thanks! Our budget for this was a couple thousand, all told. This was just a trailer. We want to get some investors on board to do a feature length version. We shot on the T1i because it was the best cheap option at the time we started production. I was able to choose the lenses that I wanted, and achieve cinematic depth of field/field of view. We used a slough of different lenses. Nikkor, Nikon Series E, Canon EF, Canon EF-S, Tamron. Basically anything we had laying about. We recorded audio on an Azden shotgun mic into a Sony FX-1. We had to slate every shot with dialogue. That was the worst part. The trailer is 7 minutes, check the youtube link I posted. Thanks again for looking!
