Turn off autopower

I know this is probably a pretty simple thing, but... my DVX100A I recently purchased shuts down after a few minutes of idling (I was checking all the settings when I got it and noticed), and I know they are made not to. Is there a setting to change this?

my dvx i just got does the same thing, very annoying ! would like to know if there is a way to turn this off as well.

Yes there's a menu option. It's called "tape protect" on the 100A. Set it to STBY.
