GH2 Turn off Auto ISO

I don't know what happened but I must have changed some settings because everyt time I start recording, Auto ISO turns on. THat didn't happen before... Exposure is set to M. I have read a bunch of threads on this subject but I can't find a straight answer. How do I control Aperture, Shutterspeed and ISO all at once?

If your GH2 is hacked it might do it. I read it somewhere that with the hacks/some of the hacks even when you set the ISO (quick nav button for ISO settings, think its the upper one) to say 800, it still shoots at 800 although the screen shows "Auto ISO".

If it isn't hacked, then I have no answer except to ask the anooyingly obvious: Have you checked that you have selected a specific ISO and not accidentally select Auto ISO?

Yes, mine is hacked and I did apply a different patch. I'm using the 44M patch. I doubt that it was shooting at selected ISO (500) because I see grain where there shouldn't be...

I suggest you ask the originator of the patch over at Personal-view.com. unless they are on DVXuser ad well. Otherwise, send me the patch (or link) that you are using and let me see what happens on my side. I can't promise anything by tomorrow, work is keeping me a bit busy the last few days so the earliest I can check it might be the weekend - maybe just maybe tonight.

Here is a weird question that just crossed my mind...is there a way to check what the ISO is on footage? I'm also still learning.

It's just a display thing. The ISO-removal hack causes the display to read "auto ISO" when, in fact, it's staying right where you planted it. Just roll with it.

Damn, that's too bad... I like to see exactly what's happening when I'm shooting. Especially considering the noise I am getting at around ISO 500. It's really bad... Maybe it's the 44M patch, maybe the ISO-removal, maybe ISO 500 -in combination with either-, but whatever it is, I am not going to shoot with my present settings anymore. I'm going to have to buy Neat Video to get rid of this noise...

yeah, i have the same feeling few days ago, shoting at night, 12800iso... sometimes the dispay shows "autoiso", but looks like is not (gh2 iso hacked)

I will be trying Sanity patch soon - I'm not TOO into pushing the boundries but rather building on story and lighting as much as possible. However I must say that I haven't done much low light video goofing around anyway - or much video for that matter :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
