HEY gang.......I am doing a shoot Weds. night A closeup magician card trick shoot with my DVX and a friend's PD-150! Any suggestions as changing scene file settings to best match the PD-150's footage? No access to PD-150 until actual shoot! Belive it or not , I'm doing another closeup magician card trick shoot next monday [typical KeyWest video work!?!] this time trying to match a Sony VX-2000............ I imagine the file settings should be similar as these cams are real close cousins! Appreciate any suggestions! Unclemort

Re: .Trying to match DVX to PD150,VX2000 cameras?

when i once tried to match to pd-150, i simply shot normal-gamma, normal matrix, master ped 0, color phase -4.
never had a chance to compare side by side, but no one ever called screaming from editing room.. so i guess it did :P

oh.. and don't forget to turn progressive off...

Shai, Would you also suggest all other scene settings at the factory default setting of 0 ? Thanks for your time............Unclemort

what are the rest actually... ?
i guess so. i would go DTL level -3 anyway.

will you have a minute to compare the two cameras on set? white balance to the same source and do some tests.

one good way to get out of this matching thing, is to create two completely different looks for the cameras, on set or in post.. don't know if it fits the style of your production..
