Trying to get HVX slo-mo stuff in FCP timeline W/ DVX stuff.

Help!
Long story short...
I'm working on a project that reqired me to shoot the majority of my footage with a DVX100B at 24p and 16:9. The rest of the footage (about 1/4) had to be slo-mo, so we shot with the HVX200 at 60fps 720 anamorphic.
I've got the HVX stuff on one drive and the DVX stuff on another and I eventually need all of the footage on the same Final Cut Pro (5) sequence timeline.
I was told I need to start a new project, import all of the 720/hvx stuff, then export it, then reimport it into the existing (640x480, 24p) FCP project with the DVX stuff.

My question is...
What quicktime settings should I export the 720/HVX (60fps 960x720 anamorphic) footage in order to re-import them onto a NTSC 640x480 24p 16:9 timeline in FCP5 ?

Just so you know, I've been trying different ways of exporting and depending on my settings it's always a bit off (either anamorphic, not letterboxed, etc). I'm not 100% sure the hvx stuff was shot letterboxed. I may have been shot anamorphic.

sounds more complicated than needs to be...

if you have dvx at 16x9, at 24p. then you should keep your hvx 720 at the same dimensions but change your hvx frame rate to match your dvx project timeline frame rate or else it won't accept it. Unless you are using the latest Final Cut Pro v.6 which allows mixing of sizes and frame rates. When you import your HVX footage into FCP, then you resize the dimensions inside FCP, thus you retain the maximum detail. When you convert your frame rate from 60 to 24, the slomo should be fine. At least in theory. I been wrong too many times to count so you will have to test it to be sure.

Good luck.

hey JEFF,

Just came across you randomly in here. We met in regards to doing some stop-action animation for the opening to Mimi + Flow. Remember!
