Trying to figure out ND solution for A7Sii and Sony 28-135 lens?

Hi guys. I'm looking for advice for accomplishing Neutral Density using the Sony A7Sii with the Sony 28-135PZ lens. I want to retain use of the stock lens hood.
Is it better to adapt the 95mm to 82mm and use something like this configuration? I'm not sure if I have all the components needed but here is what I have so far:

Cavision 95 to 82 adapter ring

82mm filter holder

6 stop ND filter

------

Or would it be possible/better to just get one 95mm ND filter such as this and work around it? Will the 100 ISO setting allow a 6 stop filter to provide enough ND for most situations?

Or would something like this variable 95mm ND filter be a good solution?

Since these things cost so much ideally I would like to just have a clear protector and a one ND filter and just use one or the other; clear protector all the time except for when I need ND and then I swap them. I don't want to have several ND filters to juggle around. Is this a realistic goal?
