Very interesting take on hardware utilization and capabilities of CS5 - starts basic but builds . . . .

Lust? Naaa.... Almost a snoozefest. Big deal. I was hoping for more for After Effects.

The real news there was the projection of a release date -- being mid summer or fall of 2010.

In a general sense this is all really good news for video producers using the Adobe Creative Suite. Unlike previous updates -- we're not just paying for a slicker looking interface. If this "Mercury Engine" isn't a hoax -- then it's entirely possible it's a true "game changer" in terms of video editing -- potentially making our lives better and potentially positioning CS5 as among the most competitive options for digital cinema production.

Best case scenario -- this is a big deal.

My only real complaint at this time is that we didn't have 64 bit multi core utilization two years ago.

Its no hoax, but its a shame you can't use it out of the box, so for most people its useless unless you got even more cash to upgrade your card, and if you got an IMAC well then sucks even more because there is no way to upgrade if you wanted to.
