true 16:9 from 100b

does anyone have any ideas on how to get true 16:9 image at full res. without recording in the "16:9" on the 100b. I have been recording in 4:3 and transferring it over on to my computer and later going back and changing it to 16:9 on my project , is this true 16:9 when printed to dvd after editing?

you need the anamorphic adapter to get full SD res 16x9 on the dvx100
