The complaints continue to pour in for our first two truck ads:

There's no official count but I'd estimate there have been around a hundred complaints to the dealer, the stations, and to us (the ad agency). Meanwhile, Heritage is having a record month. They sold 295 cars in April, more than they've ever sold in one month (In April 07 they sold 175). And they beat their main competitor for the first time EVER.

just curious, who did you receive complaints from? i really liked it. the billiards commercial was really nice and original as well.

thanks guys. most of the complaints have been coming from women. actually women tend to not like a lot of our stuff.

In advertising any attention is good attention.
An ad that is annoying is as effective as an ad that is hilarious.
An ad that 'offends' people is just as effective as one that makes people wave flags and sing the anthem.

I used quotes on 'offends' because people will get 'offended' about anything.
In fact these days people get 'offended' by everything they disagree with.
