Truck Sales on DVXUser

My notice for a camera truck has been kicked off. A truck that is for sale by the owner. I hope DVXUser is clear in this stand. I respect the stand, but want you to know that your call is not consistant for all forum members.
I am a professional technician and DP in the field, and have done my homework. We have worked hard to establish credibility and respect for all forums we enter, no matter the reason.
---
There is another member of the forum who is using the forum to do the same thing, but they are allowed to stay. Why? Because they are breaking the law by giving pricing on a truck. They are not the seller, but are representing the seller. However, they put at risk not only themselves, but any forum they enter, because they quote a price. Giving a price places them in the role of actual sales entity, and opens themselves up to REAL LIABILITY unless that individual is bonded and licensed to handle the responsibility of selling commercial vehicles. I assure you I can see it in their post in forum. Please do not take my word for it. Check out the California State laws on Auto Dealership, and the liability and safety requirements for selling a truck that is owned by another entity.
---
My work in the forum is to merely let other professionals know the truck is available, and to contact me so I will put them in touch with the seller. That is all I do. I am doing it legally and protecting all parties involved, including DVXUser, from any liability that could occur as a result of the sale and purchase of a grip or camera truck. As a result, because there is not pricing on my listing, I have been put on the same level as some cloak and dagger individual who is hiding something. I am considered a "commercial entity", and not allowed on the forum. We don't want to be where we are not wanted. But you might review your perception, and not throw the baby out with the bath water. If this be the case, then I am asking DVXUser to draw all their lines in the same way. I don't blame anyone here for the suspicion of crackpot sales. I, too, hope to find truth in what I read. These facts may serve you, and a thorough look at what your real honorable intentions are. Your apparent goal is to have a forum that is clean and free of "riff raff". I agree. Just know that your real attempt to do the right thing has an active breach in it.

It occurs to me that you might review your information on this subject, and then take another look at your forum. I represent the seller of a truck with a contract, and I am actually not a third party. I am not allowed, by the seller, to offer pricing or negotiate. Why? For the reasons I've stated above. Any party involved in selling (that means giving pricing) a commercial vehicle (including forums or websites) shoulders significant responsibility for liability that may result from the purchase of a commercial vehicle. The liability involves any accidents or harm that could come about as a result of the operation of a used vehicle. That is why auto dealers have to jump through so many hoops and buy a huge bond every year. My role is to let others know the truck is available. I only learned this because I did some research into it before I became involved with movie vehicles. My role can only be informational and informative to the professional community.

I am telling you what California State Law offers. Different states have different versions of this, but all are concerned with the same thing. If a commercial vehicle is being priced by anyone other than the actual owner, that person must be a licensed, bonded, auto dealershhip. Please do not take my word for it. Please check this out and it will confirm what I am saying. This is not rumor or heresay.
---
I DO NOT offer to sell the truck, nor am I putting DVXUser in the position of auto sales dealer. I offer to put the seller in touch with the potential interested buyer. The trucks I announce are checked out and are worth mentioning. I merely let people know the truck is available. I merely display and talk about the truck itself with anyone interested. I am working on the seller's behalf, but cannot quote an actual selling price. I cannot even give a starting price.
---
i hope I have not lost you here. This is very important. Hopefully your display of princlple is sincere, and you will find your breach. I was hoping to engage with your forum, but it is too risky.
---
When I even mention the selling price to someone interested in purchasing the truck, I have stepped into the role of seller, and have put all parties (including DVXUser) being utilized in the announcement to find the buyer, at risk of liability and severe violation of the Auto Dealership laws in the State of California.
---
I sincerely hope you digest what I have said. If you have any questions, I am willing to show you more information. Thank you for your time.

1. We do not permit sales in the Marketplace unless there is an opening price.

2. Unless you are a DVXUSER sponsor, the Marketplace is intended for peer to peer sales, not commercial store fronts.

Those are the rules.

If "there is another member of the forum who is using the forum" to sell a truck which you feel violates our rules, please provide a link to that sales thread, and we will review it for compliance.

Thank you.
