trouble with brand new r series P2 card

Just got a brand new 16gig r series P2 card for my hvx200. when i put it in the card slot on the camera and turn it on it reads incompatable card. i dont know what im doing i never used p2 cards before & there has never been a p2 card in this hvx. i havnt downloaded any firmware, panasonic.sixbullets doesnt work and have no idea where to get them or where to start...please help
 
does the r series p2 card work with the regular hvx200? is there a walkthough?

just to confirm, if you take an hvx strait out of the box, put a p2 card right out of the box in it, it wont work right you gotta get firmware or some ****?*

i have the origional cd, installed it but dont know what it does
 
Where did you get a brand new r series card these days?

What firmware version is on your HVX? There was a firmware update required many years ago for 8 and 16gb cards...
