i took my hvx to the hill and did some followcams of a friend and found it hard to keep him in frame. I know need some more practice but I also have a glidecam with the support bar and straps and was wondering if it would be worth using.
any suggestions besides practice?

Wide lenses definitely help reduce jitters.

I tried skiing with my hpx and glidecam. It works but it's kind of a pain in the ass to keep a rider in frame. Follow shots on park features are pretty doable.

I'm just using the 16x9 ex lens. If you get all pixel peepy with it, you could probably find some areas of softness but overall I'm pretty happy with it.

thnx kidwoo I'll look into it. untill then ride northstar till closing day :)

It's a decent lens. Just make sure you pop your focus in the right spot. And the price is nice compared to a lens that costs almost as much as your camera. On bright days on snow, you'll be stoked on it.

I'm actually praising northstar's closing to be honest. I like that place for bikes more than their snow offerings. I'm getting a little old to be banging my knees on rails these days.

Been shooting a bunch of backcountry lately though.......
