Hi all,
Just got my HVX, been lurking on the forums for some time, finally posting with my first problem!
I've been trying to output a DV master on my HVX using "edit to tape" in FCP5. When I Black and Code, it doesn't seem to print the timecode, and while I can output the movie to the tape and play it back, I'm still not seeing any timecode on the tape. Anyone else have that problem or know what it might be? Is there a setting in the camera I'm missing?
Also tried to use my HVX to capture some DV footage shot on an XL-1S (32K audio) with dismal results: the audio plays back choppy, dropping out most of it, same when captured in FCP. Tape and coonnections are all fine, it captured just fine using an XL-1. Is 32K just not supported? Or is it a camera-specific DV encoding issue? Any ideas?
