I've had this for a while but never really used it. It's a useful little tool that doesn't add much bulk to your audio setup like some other pre's like the Cloudlifter. It's an inline preamp that offers a clean 18db boost to low sensitivity mics or to recorders with noisy preamps. This will allow you to drop the gain a bit on the recorder. This is the phantom version so allows phantom power to pass through to power condenser mics. This adapter does not provide phantom power. You have to have a recorder that supplies the phantom. I tested it out when I got it but haven't used it since. I even have it in the original packaging. Now I'm just cleaning out my sound kit. $65 shipped.
