HPX250: Tripod tips?

I'm currently using a Miller Solo tripod. Looking for something lighter. Any tips on a light tripod... ? Am lugging gear a lot. Looking for simple and light. Am thinking of a Manfrotto Carbon Fibre tripod. Seems under 4 kilos in total with the head. Most are 5 kgs and over.

Thanks

John

Ouch. At $3K it's right in the league of a mid-high end Satchler Video 18 and Cartoni Delta & Focus series.

I have a Really Right stuff Fluid head and Tri pod the head slides off for packing so the whole thing fits in my luggage the package is under 4 kilos. This is the best head that I have ever used Blows away Miller and all other small heads it is not cheap but worth every penny check it out.

I just bought a Libec kit to replace a Manfrotto 028/501HD kit which I found to have too much starting friction.

The Libec RT30B weighs 5.7 lbs and can extend from 16: - 59.5", the Rh25 head weighs 5.5 lbs and supports a payload of 13 lbs.

I will be trying it out for a fundraiser on April 17th.

Around $700 for the two.
