Tripod Recommendations

I have a DVX100b and was wondering what are some
good options out there at an affordable price??
Im looking to spend around $100...what are some of your experiences

Based on my experience, I can highly recommend using the search function.

Personally, I wouldn't trust my camera on a tripod the same quality of those sold at Best Buy, which is about what you would get for around $100. While it may be a bit pricier than what you want to spend, I would go with nothing less than a Davis & Sanford ProVista (about $180 at B&H). I've had one for over a year and have had no complaints.

Agree on the Davis & Sanford for 180. I just broke mine and they had it replaced withing two weeks. Great warranty. Mine has been a workhorse for about a year.

I agree that you really cant go lower than that price range and expect anything from it. that being said I have a quality Libec up in the marketplace for 170 that would do the job. go take a look.
