Tripod Recepticle Screw Replacement?

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with their Tripod Recepticle Screws coming out of the base of the EX-1. I've done some research and see it's a problem that other owners have had. The screws fell out, so I don't believe that anything is broken, but any idea how much and where I could find the screws for the recepticle? I'm not sure if my warranty is still good, but I know the pains of sending it to Sony, and I really think it just needs a few new screws.


In this thread they label the screws and parts (Scroll to bottom), but it didn't lead to me a place where I could find them.

My camera is tripod less until the time, which makes alot of projects harder. The screws were too small and specific for any stores around me, but I think I may just take to B&H and see what they say.

Any suggestions?

He designs and builds replacement EX tripod mount brackets and braces and has an inventory of parts. If you don't want or like his products I'm sure he can direct you to where you can get the Sony replacement, but for sure he has the screws.

I've put his brackets on both an EX1 and EX3 and they work perfectly - just that extra amount of support to keep the camera from sliding around - true value added.
