Tripod quick release for rail system mount.

Just wondering how people have their DLSR shoulder rigs configured for quick release on/off to a tripod.

Was thinking of getting one of these http://jag35.com/new/products/tripod-plate/

Anyone got a low cost or creative way of achieving the same result?

My setup is pretty uninspired; I just have a manfrotto quick release plate bolted to the bottom of my shoulder mount. Slide it in, lock it down, take the shoulder pad and hand grips off, good to go
