so i think im going to get a satchler fsb-4 head but im thinking about getting different legs cause a few of my friends arent fans of them and went with gitzo. im not a fan of gitzo's "righty loosie lefty tighie" but i do love that you can get as low as a high hat with them.

are there any 75mm ball legs aside from gitzo that spread super low?

i wish gitzo just used latches.

you will need a bowl adaptor that Manfrotto makes to convert the 100mm-75mm.

unfortunately these dont have latches either but...solo vj is a tripod on steroids. goes ridiculous high! i cant imagine not owning this tripod. lightweight, waterproof (been down in creeks before) goes real tall and real low. nice strap...what more could you want!

i know latches...i feel your pain. i do miss those latches sometimes but not enough to make me buy one with latches.

I have a miller solo and IMO it is a right pain

Yes good for low angles and hiking but day to day use and small height changes I wish I had got a satchler speed lock
