I just bought a Libec LS-22m tripod that supports up to 9 pounds for almost 500 bucks. My DVX at most weighs almost 5 pounds when mounted on this well, i have decided that i am going to buy a 35mm adapter and rod set up kit etc. for my camera and that will turn my camera into roughly a 10 pound rig.......The camera should not get any heavier than this at all. I'm just wondering if i need a new tripod just for the ONE extra pound. do you guys think the tripod could handle it( for both safety of my set up and still getting smooth tilts and pans) the tripod is a beast with locks for the legs and such and I'm just wondering if using this rig on it would be a bad idea. The next tripod up supports 9-17 pounds and costs almost 800 bucks and i really dont want to upgrade to a new tripod as i just bought this one any advice guys?
