Tripod for under $700 (Cartoni Action Pro good?)

I'm wondering what a good tripod would be for the HVX200. The Cartoni Focus seems perfect but a basic package seems to start at 1100 and that's too much for me. The Action Pro looks good but I'm not sure if it can support a camera like the HVX200. For the record, I don't plan to ever use a M2 adapter, just possibly a cineporter or firestore.

I've heard the Bogen 516 is good but I really dislike the architexture of Bogen cameras. I like how light they are but they never feel solid to me.

Will the Cartoni Action Pro work or do I need something heavier? Is there much for under $700?

Don´t know, but never look too much at the price of a tripod. Get the best you can get - it´s a too important tool.

I gotta agree with Joe. At NAB I spent 4 hours over 2 days just looking at Tripods. The Cartoni had a decent option for about $900.00 for sticks and head that might fit your bill. I saw so many that I can't remember the model. Sorry!
But I'm probably going to get the Oconnor with a really nice head. The sticks alone are $2,100. But I'm wanting to make sure when I add more stuff, I haven't thrown out money on an inferior tripod.

I wish you luck, just remember, when your credibility is on the line, don't let a poor tripod to make your fine camera work look bad! Spend 20% more then you can afford. :)
