now my cousin came over and said, have your tried plastic wrap? i go what!??? he said ya, put it over the hood of your dvx, and you get a nice dreamy , soft effect.

anymore, around the house ideas, to get nice looks? for the dvx?

ps, he also said soemthing about putting butter on the plastic wrap
 
shoot through sheer pantyhose for an even softer effect, lots of fabric diffusion possibilities. The smeared butter sounds interesting as well. And tasty - I love butter!
 
try vaseline instead of butter not sure how much difference it would make but personaly i wouldnt want either greasey substance that close to my DVX :)
 
Immerse the camera in chocolate sauce just prior to shooting. The timing on this is critical because the camera will quit working pretty quickly and will need some serious service, so have your subjects ready. You'll only get one take if that. The effect is really cool though. You get a whole new camera*

Nothing beats the old microwave look... Just hit record, shut the door and hit HIGH for 10 minutes. Safety goggles recommended though. May void warranty.
 
Forget using a crane for high shots - just press record, and then launch your DVX into the air with a home made slingshot or catapult. Results may vary.
 
okay, i just bought the vaseline, the panty hose, and the chocolate sauce. the girl at the cash register gave me a weird look so i told her, "don't worry, i need these items for videotaping purposes."
