Hey guys.
I've been hanging around here for a while and I thought I'd go ahead and link up to my latest film.

Comedy is a bit of a departure for me and this one was produced in two weeks (production through post) for a film program I am enrolled in.

Let me know your thoughts!

It's on good old Vimeo:

Wow I had a couple good laughs on that one. Really entertaining for what it was. Great acting too. Are these friends or actual actors? Your sound was really uneven and lighting on the black guy needed to be way more than what it was. Thanks for sharing, that was refreshing.

They are both actors here in LA. Great guys.

I agree, sound mix could use another pass.

The image I'm looking at here of my black actor looks to be exposed pretty well.
As you probably know, black skin as dark as Darrell's eats up light and perhaps I could have blasted him with a bit more light. Thanks for the observation.

Thanks for the comments. I really appreciate it!

Any there feedback would be greatly appreciated as well guys.

I am intrigued. In fact, I am hungry to know more!

But that aside, the film was very good. I didn't notice anything too bad with the lighting on the Black character. I did make note of the uneven sound quality, but you commented on that above I believe. Overall a very good, funny piece. Keep up the good work!

PS: What kind of equipment did you use?

Thanks,

Brock and I had a torrid love affair years ago.

No. Not really.

We grew up going to school together and are now in the same film program in LA. He literally lives less than 100 yards from where I am sitting.

As for gear... I shot on a Sony Z1 HDV and used the basic Arri 4-light kit. Bare bones.

And thanks for the feedback!

But what a sweet sweet affair it was... I liked your film Tyler. I thought the actors did a good job and the closeups were easy to follow with not much reference to the rest of the room.

I have to film next weekend...NOT looking forward to it
