Here is a movie I shot for a fellow classmate in the film class I took this last semester. I was trying to compress out to .mov for all of the mac users out there, but I am compressing out of vegas and I think I'm a little restricted or just don't know what the best settings are for rendering a .mov out of vegas.
Any suggestions would be great.
until then here is a .wmv

I edited in FCP 5 at the school (I wanted to learn FCP) I really enjoyed doing the project in FCP. I will eventually get a mac (when I have the money to get the system I want). But on the whole I think Vegas is a much more intuitive editing program, when comparing Vegas to FCP, (not the entire suite) Every FCP user I have met praises Sound Track Pro up and down, but honestly I felt that it was more of a short coming then an advantage, everything I did in STP I would of done on the vegas timeline without having to export my whole project. I didn't take advantage of motion or DVD studio pro, but I have seen some absolutely amazing work come out of both of those programs, so as a suite of programs I think FCP Studio is a much more powerful setup than Vegas, but that being said Vegas is a much more intuitive editing program IMHO.
