Transporting a gimbal

Curious how others are handling this. I've been keeping my RS4 Pro fully assembled (without camera) so that I don't have to spend time balancing it during each use. But I haven't really found a way to load it onto my cart without jiggling it out of calibration. I do mostly corporate-type work, often OMB. Any thoughts?

Check post 45, I’ll double check it’s the one I went with but it’s been excellent. It fits an assembled Rs4 pro with camera attached, as long as you turn the pan axis 90 degrees and lock it. It fits a mirrorless on the gimbal too, otherwise, there'll still be a large, usable amount of space leftover.

Thanks, Rob. That looks like it would do the job. The only problem is that I've taken to using mine with the go-kart steering wheel attached (an idea I got on this forum, no idea which thread). That makes the base 10 wide, and the case is only 9in. So close!

I have an arca plate attached to mine (at the center of the steering wheel), so I'm actually considering attaching an arca receiver to an apple box -- that would keep it from tipping. But the vibration issue is still there.

Yes the cart walk with bare gimbal has plenty of vibrations! I'd see if you can live with a shallower handle set up that fits in the bag. It's also handy closing a bag for possible theft/rain etc.
