transport cases for china lanterns...

Been scratching my head over this... developed quite a pile of chinas & associated gear - they've held up remarkably well, but I need a way to store & transport them - the cardboard shipping box is looking a little silly next to all the cordura and flight cases... but my "unbleached ivory" paper balls make the prettiest, warmish light with big CFLs...

Checked around on eBay - you can get a really nice, padded cordura pizza delivery bag for about $16, brand new, no pepperoni odor. And big enough for my 18" balls, bulbs, and fixtures.

I think I deserve a gold star on my forehead for that one...

Did he just say that?!?

Yeah, that was after a "sports injury" though!

I looked at the portfolios, but my "stack" of this stuff has reached about 6" high, not including the fixtures... I did order one of the pizza bags so we'll see. They come in all kinds of sizes, this should be able to hold all my china stuff, and I've been on a storage kick lately - I've really amped up my daylight gear but I can't bear to sell off the piles of tungsten. Slowly getting everything in dedicated bags & cases vs. re-packing everything based on video inside, video outside, stills & strobes, or audio.

I've got too much gear and not enough gear. Same old story. Don't get me started on the guitars...
