Transition between glidetrack and tripod?

I have a Glidetrack, but no tripod yet.
Often the Glidetrack is mounted on top of a tripod (with camera on top).

But, I want to make an easy transition where:

camera on mounted Glidetrack => only camera (no Glidetrack) on tripod for panning => camera on mounted Glidetrack again.

What equipment should I buy to make this change as smooth as possible?

A second tripod head, identical to the one on your tripod. Mount the second quick-release plate to the bottom of the Glidetrack, and keep the second tripod head mounted to the Glidetrack as well.

Which one do you recommend, the 394 och 577 (Camera: GH2)?

How many quick release plates are suitable to have if I buy the 394 or 577 and use two tripod heads?
And where should I put those plates?

One plate under the Glidetrack (for mounting on tripod), but where to put the rest of them?
Can I attach a release plate underneath the tripod head?

I guess one tripod head plate should always be attached underneath the camera.

The 577 quick release assembly is not needed if you have two identical (and fairly sturdy) tripod heads.

If you get one of THESE, and then one of THESE, you'll have everything you need. You'll get a quick-release plate included with each tripod head. Leave one on the camera, and one on the Glidetrack.

And if you can afford it, you'll be much better off getting the kit with the 504HD head, which will be a bit beefier for supporting the Glidetrack. Then get the spare 501HDV to keep mounted to the Glidetrack, as it is more than enough to handle the GH2.

So I can get a Velbon DV-7000 (tripod head included) and another similar tripod head and I should be fine?

I wouldn't. Those things are cheap toys. If you're going to be doing serious work, and expect to support a Glidetrack, you need something sturdy. It's not going to be cheap. See the links in my post above. Those aren't even the best available, but are about the best you can do on a lower budget.
