Transformers

I have absolutely no doubt that this is a generational movie. My kids watched the transformer on TV (for the life of me I can't understand it) and the movie was obviously geared toward them. Personally, I don't get it. I listened to the screenwriter talk about it (during a screening of The Island) and thought to myself...why? I am so tired of remakes and adaptations of television show I think I want to puke...:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I enjoyed most of the action, no it was quite amazing, however some of the story/dialogue was lame and clichéd. But I appreciated it as a nice action film. It's good to see a nice easy to watch action flick sometimes.

my father loved it and hes 62. he told me that he remeber the toys and he realized why we liked them so much. so i im glad my father was able to get in to something from the past and still find it enjoyable.

My wife didn't watch the toon, but she really enjoyed it. So much for the generational thing. I know a huge portion of the viewers are like me, sort of former kids that watched it every Saturday morning, or boys that are growing up with the latest generation of toys and comics... but it is an enjoyable movie for the most part. No, it isn't an instant classic like Citizen Kane, but neither was Citizen Kane when it came out. It took years for smug, self righteous, know it all film geeks to begin lording it over our heads with their holier than thou tones.

Me? Sometimes I just want to watch a movie and have a good time, without having to critique every minutia of the Director's hidden meaning.

Anybody heard the news about Shia Lebouf? Apparently he went into a Walgreens, and refused to leave. They called the police to remove him, and asked him to stay out of the Walgreens. I don't know if it was just the one, or all the Walgreens...

Makes me wonder if the Decepticons were following him.

My step-dad and my uncles are making some things for Transformers 2 (they own a sheet metal shop in LA and have been making parts for props since 1995 or so). I don't know exactly what they're making, but they're doing something. They made some things for the first film too, but I'm not sure what. I don't know why, but I think that fact is kind of funny.
