Transferring Footage

Hello. Here's what i am trying to do: I am trying to export my movie from avid xpress pro to another editing system on another computer.

I have completed my editing on xpress pro on a computer in school, and now i would like to send it to my home computer and add some effects on Vegas 5.

What is the best way to go about this without losing resolution. I've been running a few tests to see what exports look best. For now, i am guessing that DV stream is the best way.

Any comments or tips?
 
EDL and recapture? I'm not very familiar with the Vegas 5 workflow, so there may be a better way.

If your done and just want to add effects you might want to do a digital cut and then just reimport into Vegas. No resolution loss and still digital. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
