Hello there:
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am terribly confused about how to export my material (shot with anamorphic lens and DVX100A-PAL) in order to have it transferred to film.
I have to send my 10 minute short film to the laboratory as an image sequence (that is, as tiff files). Since I have shot with the anamorphic lens, when I export the sequence, it obviusoly does it with the PAL ratio (720X576), making the tiff files have the 4:3 format, with the image stretched. I explained this to the laboratory, hoping they could squeeze the materail themselves to 16:9 ratio. They can't. Consequently, I have to add black bars myself, which means that I am losing resolution (does this means that shooting with the anamorphic lens didn't make any sense?).
Is there any way I can export my seuqence in Final Cut so that I can get a proper and real 16:9 image sequence? For instance: 1024X576 tiff files.
If anybody can help me, I would really appreciate it. I don't want to make any stupid mistakes before spending the money in the transfer.
Thank you very much
