Transfering Back to P2 card???

I have a clip that was downloaded on a shoot some weeks ago... and the p2 card has since been formatted... now the edit is in progress it seems that one clip will not trsfer to FCP... MXF files are visible in the contents folder but the last clip file is missing... My question is this... can I tranfer the contents folder back to P2 and then use the camera to "repair" the clip... I've tried connecting the camera to my mac as a firewire device but when I drag Content folder to the camera it says I only have read priveleges...

any thoughts???
 
You can easily do this from Windows, but not from OSX. If you can get access to a Windows machine (or run BootCamp) you should be able to do it.

Also, try using P2CMS; it might be able to let you export a clip back to a P2 card on OSX.
 
thanks barrie... so same process... mount the cam to a windows system using firewire device in dub mode then copy the bad mxf file back to p2 card and repair in cam... is that right?
