Transfer Problems

Sorry, new to the camera...

I have a 4pin to 4pin firewire cable and for some reason my laptop won't recognize it. Any suggestions on the best ways to transfer from the 100A to a laptop?

i.e. types / brands:

Firewire Cable
Deck
Audio / Video to USB

or Editing Software?

What type of laptop do you have and what are the specs?

You'll need some type of capture software. This is part of editing programs although there may be some shareware apps for capture only.

Once you're connected and have capture software make sure to turn on the camera in VCR mode before starting your application.

Guess it's just a faulty Firewire cable. Plugged in a new wire and it worked fine. Thanks for your help.
