Transcend Class 10 update from E-films

[adolgin]

E-films just released a report on the EX1-R performance using Transcend, ATP and Sandisk SDHC memory cards, and also their Hard Disk device HDR. They found that the Transcend Class 10 cards work very well with both EX1 and EX1-R, allowing to record up to 60 fps using the -R.

It didn't say in the newsletter, and I can't find that other thread now on the Transend Class 10 cards, but what frame rates have been achieved in the EX1?

Is this going to 'fix' the 4gb file size limit? Or are those class 10 cards still FAT32?

[thxdave]

The card has nothing to do with FAT32. It can be formatted to anything. It's a function of how Sony writes the files to the card. FAT32 allows both PC's and Macs to open the files without the need for any 3rd party helper apps.
