This is the trailer for the norwegian short film Fortellingen om Matrosen! It is made by me and my friend for about 500$. I was the entire crew, my friend was the producer. The complete film is 26 minutes long.

Fortellingen om Matrosen - Trailer 18mb Quicktime

Fortellingen om Matrosen in english would be The Tale of a Sailor, or A Sailors Tale... Can't you guys help us out with an english title, that would be great!

The film is without any dialogue, but there is a voice over in russian (the main character is from russia), for now we only have norwegian subtitles. Our english is not that good, so we would love any help from norwegians or russians with the subtitles for this trailer.

Anyway, the story is about young deaf and mute sailor who arrives in a foreign city. His captain and the rest of the crew treats him like a slave. He has never been alowed to leave the boat, until now!

Hope you'll check it out and any thoughts, questions or comments are welcome!

A Tale if a Sailor is a good title. Terry your english (writing and grammar since I've never heard you speak) is better then most North Americans, trust me, I know, I went to public school on the other side of the Atlantic. Anyways, your cutting was good and so was your shot selection. However, there is always a however, your CC'ingg was not the best that it could be. All the best.

Thanks! I think A Tale of a Sailor sounds nice too. The cc'ing is kind of boring I agree, though (as everybody says) the quicktime compression desaturated it a little extra. I'll put more time and effort in cc'ing next time!
