Trailer for short film "Karmas Choice"

Looks cool, but it seems a little high key for a thriller. Or was that intentional? Wasn't a huge fan of the blue blow-out windows in the opening.

The location looks good though and the actors are certainly well lit

Everything was intentional considering what we had to work with. The location was a tiny apartment on the second floor of a walk up. I would have loved to gel the windows but it was impossible (from trhe outside). When we started testing, the director liked how the blown out windows looked so decided to go with it (they get covered up on camera pretty quickly...we only see them in that one scene).

We used wallbusters to hang the lights and the ceilings were not very high. I had a very limited amount of lights to work with as well as limited space. As the film moves forward, that high key look changes to a darker feel.

We painted the apartment specifically for the film to use color to influence how each room felt.
