FEATURE: Trailer for Nowhere Johnny; neo-noir boxing flick.

I like the title you chose for the film, it's very catchy. As for the trailer, I would try to use a little less exposition. It feels a bit like you're spoonfeeding the audience.

My biggest gripe is that frankly the guy just doesn't look like he could be a boxer. In the "training montage" he looked like he could barely do a proper pushup. I know you have to make due with what actors you can get as an amateur filmmaker, but if you can't find someone physically right for the role, don't make a movie about a boxer. It's also a bit hard to get into an action film when the action looks really fake.

Some of the color grading could use work. The blues in some of your shots create very odd skin tones.

Oh and by the way, just because a film is violent and dark does not make it neo-noir.

Thank you.

In terms of 'noir' style... didn't see it at all... other issues... too much voice over...

Here's an example of 'neo noir', 'boxing', 'crime', and 'personal relationships'...

He's supposed to be scrawny because he's just starting out and he's not suppose to look like he's gonna amount to much. That's why he's a loser and his manager (JJ) only BS him, because his manager is really focused on himself and his criminal lifestyle. Eventually, the same thing is gonna happen to Johnny what happened to JJ in terms of going somewhere, maybe.

I didn't show the elements of the neo-noir too much in these trailers.

In the other trailers, people have commented that they're too vague so I here I'm trying to break it down some.
