Trailer for MY STEP-DAD'S A FREAKIN' VAMPIRE!

I thought it looked fantastic. Some great FX in there, including some fantastic prosthetic makeup. Very nice look to it too, it was only possible to discern a 'low' budget in a few shots, otherwise I thought the lighting looked great throughout. How long did you guys spend shooting? What was the budget, if you don't mind my asking? And is this a feature or short? Great work, keep it up.

Thanks. It took 40 days to shoot. It is a feature. The budget right now is estimated at $85,000. It keeps growing. We originally thought it would take $65-75,000. Production wrapped last year. I've been going to school and working on post-production for about a year now. I can't wait to finish.

I go to a film school in Kansas City called Avila University. But I personally believe that film school is almost pointless. I learned most of what I know just from watching movies and researching online.

When I wrote it I wanted it to be an action/comedy/horror movie. But I didn't want to go all the way comedy. Army of Darkness already did that, and I didn't want to be like that. So I decided to take an absurd idea, with an absurd title and treat it as a serious movie. I hope it will be very different in a good way. The movie is due out in the spring. It will be a two disc so people can see how it was made.

I invite you all to be friends with the movie on myspace. There will be all kinds of updates and stuff in the future. Also if you would like to see some articles about the making of the film you can go to www.mystepdadvampire.com. My myspace page is myspace.com/mystepdadsafreakinvampire
