Trailer for my movie, "Forever"

looks pretty cool, the voiceover sounded really good. Looks like the cinematography is pretty good too. Overall a nice and somewhat creepy trailer. Only thing I didnt like was the titles

Yeah try not to use fonts you can get for free on popular downloadable font sites. Chances people will have seen them before, and I'm assuming you don't want that.

Like the way u put together the trailer I like the name as well. I agree with 356 the title(color and lettering) could be better,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Good luck with your premiere.

Good job, might want to change the name too. Sounds like a name that's probably been used in like 50,000 short films.

Looks pretty slick man... I esp like the use of black screens as transitions - really adds to the mood

Thanks guys! It's the first trailer I've ever made so I'm glad you guys like it or at least somewhat like it. And yeah, you're all right, the titles could be better...
Thanks!

Were you also the editor on the piece itself? Because usually the editors on the project have a hard time putting together trailers since they tend to let scenes play out since they know what happens next, they want the audience to see it all. Usually you hire a seperate trailer editor, but if you did both, you did a great great job with pacing and suspense.

Yeah I did almost everything... editing(movie and trailer), "scored", wrote, directed, lit, camera, etc... you know... just to learn... I made sure that I didn't let the scenes play out too much or at all because I didn't want to give too much of the story away... as it turns out though, i may have put too little! hahaha
Thanks guys!

Paul... At the end of the trailer, the sequence after your main character lays on the bed and suddenly we briefly see a few grotesque images flash on the screen, this could be much more powerful I think. It's clear what you wanted to do, but it just didn't seem to be powerful enough. Maybe a tad longer screen time on the grotesque flashes (not much), but accompany it with better and punchier music. It's hard to describe what I'm seeing here, but some sort of video stuttering effect on that last scene would send it over the top I think. I've got it...if the guy in the bed went from total calm (like you have now) to a split second look of sheer terror, then switch to the grotesque flashes (a little longer screen time), stronger music punches, and some sort of video stuttering effect....would be sic.

Oh...I really liked it!

That would LOVE to have some really grotesque, strange, and cool visual effect like the stutter and whatever. How would I accomplish this (the stutter)? Being that I made what's there, I have no idea how effective it really is. I'm glad you said something. It's kinda hard to judge what's scary when I made it, you know?
Anyone know where I can read up on visual effects so I can add some more creepy stuff?
Thanks!
