Here's a link to the public page with the trailer for my short comedy, The Devil's Matchmaker. We shot it with the P+S Techniks adapter with a set of Zeiss superspeeds, which is the first time I've went with that type of setup but it was nifty. It's like tricking the camera out, kinda fun to see! I regret no picture gallery on the Website as of yet.

The full film won't be available online for a while because it's doing the festival run now, it's in to its first 19 festivals for consideration after tomorrow when I sent this batch off, then we'll see how it does and what happens!

Yay

Yay

The Devil's Matchmaker will have its World Premiere at Dances With Films next month! I'm really excited. This is my first pro short, my previous work has been in music videos (17 festivals / competitions that I've gotten into, won 2 so far) and corporate type of work, so I have never applied to any big film festivals. In fact I wasn't going to bother with this film to be honest, because I thought well it's just a short comedy and I dunno, it's not that big of a deal, how about I just see how it does with the mid-level festivals. But then my cast and crew seemed to have such a good response to it, and everyone loved it and told me how great it was, blah blah etc. (makes me shy to hear that, lol), so I thought well ok I guess if you guys think it maybe has a chance let's do it. Let's send it to some major festivals and see what happens.

So getting into Dances With Films is a huge honor, a great sign for the future as well, as it has 24 more festivals to hear from already, but I'm hoping to send it to 75 or so festivals.

Anyway great day, yay!

Being completely honest, that trailer was not funny, and was very "loose" in the edit. You need to punch the editing up a bit and make it snappier.

Also, it didn't look fantastic either... what did you shoot on?

This was a trailer for a comedy?

I agree with Brandon, for a trailer the pacing is way too slow. Punch it up some. Thought it looked good though.
