Trailer for a short horror movie

Dude I f-ing love your lighting. Really natural looking and very creepy with the shallow DOF. Good job man, can't wait to see the finished product.

XAX MAN!!! It's about time we get to see some more footage! Man check out that Letus in action.

Does it look that clean at 720p? How did the remainder of the shoot go man?

hey, sorry for the late response ;) didn't know you were still waiting...

lots has been going on these days, we finally made final cut last week and it's not heading to sounddesign...

the shoot went well, we shot a bit too little material though, a 15 minute short in 4 days with sfx? not again ;)

it's a big noisy, but that's my fault with the settings i think.. the picture itself is very very clean..

and i recently saw pictures of the p+s in action and i didnt really like them... it was too sharp, back to too hd again... i love my letus35 still ;)

thanks for the compliments on the lighting, that's what i emphasize on with my team, without dramatic lighting, you can't get a movie look like a movie! wasn't easy to lit to iso 100 of the camera with adapter tho ;)

i could upload a 720p version these days to show off the trailer in full res, give me a few days

regards, xax

dramatic and striking indeed. Love the silhouetted shot and teh close-up on the lips... Very nice indeed. I could imagine høw hard it would be to shoot with a comparable 100ASA. I think the HVX with stock lens is a 320 and that's sometimes challengeing and a light hog.. at a 100 that would be a big time challenge.

What did you use for your lighting and effects looks?

thanks!

our main light was a 1kw fresnel with chimera softbox, it was too dark mostly though, if we would've had 2kw, it would've been much better.

for the fill and mostly key too we also used 4 china balloons with 200w bulbs in them, 500 wouldve been better, but we feared fire :)

and for the blue stuff we mostly used a 1,2kw hmi par, that was enough almost all the time.

also, a kinoflo 4 bank is quite good if you have to light for iso 100, especially fill-wise

we shot almost everything at f2.0, everything got a bit dark waveformwise but at the end, the material is good enough to squeeze out quite a look at color correction.

we figured that in former times, they also didn't really have much faster speeds than 100, so we should be able to do it as well... we also have very good connections to a local lighting rental company, so getting big stuff isn't really a problem at all.
