Len Wiseman is in negotiations to remake Total Recall.

The studio and producer Neal Moritz are aiming for a contemporized adaptation of the movie, which was based on Philip K. Dick story, "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale."

well, not really... I mean, is there anything NOT being remade these days?

I'm not opposed to this. I love the original film, but it is very dated.

Though I think they could find a better director than Len Wiseman.

I just read this today and I'm undecided on how I feel about this one being re-made. I loved the original and still do. Len would not have been my first choice but he's good with action.

I just hope they do some pratical effects, I really don't want to see 2 hours of crappy CGI because depending on who's starring, It probably won't get a huge budget.

And if they don't bring back the three-breasted-mars-hooker I'm crying foul!

It's number 8 on my list of favorite Sci-Fi. I just don't see the need for a remake right now. I guess they're looking at the fact that it made $261M worldwide and just can't resist another dip in the pool.
