Toshiba 'Flying Chair' commercial

I love it when companies use practical effects. It's becoming
too easy to use CG for everything. Want to drop an aircraft
carrier on the White House? No problem. Practical effects can
be so simple and elegant. Bravo.

First sentence.... what a wanker. Even the sound effect (which I think is completely there for effect) is the same. Cool commercial. Shame on Toshiba if they just copied this. Now I'm mad. Thanks ugafan!

Yeah. Weak.

I think it's kind of funny that the first shot of the commercial (the pan on sticks) isn't even level.

Toshiba: unoriginal and a bit crooked

EDIT: well...might have to put the pitchforks down for now, just saw this in the youtube comments by user UKToshiba
Toshibas new Space Chair ad was inspired by a sub culture of scientists and artists who send objects to the edge of space using weather balloons. Grey London collaborated with a number of talented individuals, including British artist Simon Faithfull, to re-create the concept of launching a generic chair into space, and by using their own HD cameras, to demonstrate how Toshiba technology can take something ordinary and make it extraordinary.
